New State Department Rules To Get A Passport Are Insanity

Check this out. The State Department’s new proposed Biographical Questionnaire that some passport applicants will have to fill out will include all addresses since birth; lifetime employment history including employers’ and supervisors names, addresses, and telephone numbers; personal details of all siblings; mother’s address one year prior to your birth; any “religious ceremony” around the time of birth; and a variety of other information.

This information will not be mandatory for all applicants, only for “some applicants,” according to the Federal Register. But the criteria has not been disclosed.

Seriously — what the hell? This is the USA, not Syria or Myanmar.
